At both ends of the street
Signplates bear the name
Of an illustrious son.
His only son, too, every Baba knows,
Deserves a token somewhere,
And in their memory.



In this very street
In the lavish study
Of the most famous house
Were made and sealed
A people's fortunes,
And their fate.
